Easter

Better late than never right?!  I thought that I had actually posted some of these but I must have been dreaming.  We had a nice, fun, un-stressful Easter, the best part of it was that Scott didn't have any meeting so we were able to see him all day!

Here are the kids in their Easter Outfits.  Of course I could not get a good picture of all of the kids at the same time.  One day I will learn how to properly use Photoshop so that I can fix photos but for now you will just get a few different shots.

DSC_0001_editedThis is the only picture where Emmalyn was not trying to grab the bunnies out of Hannah’s hair, but of course Kaitlyn is hidden behind her.  DSC_0002 Hannah would not stand still even for a second.  She was too busy hopping.DSC_0003 DSC_0005 Here are the kids checking out the baskets that the Eater Bunny left for them.

Our New little Chef

Today I went about my business in the kitchen getting things prepped to cook.  I turned one the oven to preheat and started doing a few other things.  About 5 minutes later I notice an interesting smell (not a good one) and some smoke coming out of the oven.  It wasn't a lot of smoke so I thought at first something had spilt on the bottom of the oven that I had not noticed since earlier this week I baked sweet potatoes and they have a tendency to spill over my pan that I place under them if I am not careful.  Then there was more smoke so I opened the oven and there was a fire!  Something on top of a cookie sheet was fully engulfed.  I closed the oven and turned it off but after 4-5 minutes it was still on fire, so I grabbed a pitcher of water and my oven mitt, grabbed the cookie sheet ran out side and doused it with the water.  I came back in to ask the kids who did that, the big kids had no idea and then Hannah looks at me with a serious face and says, “Oh no mommy, you broke it, I cooked dinner for you.”  She was really bummed that I messed up her surprise dinner for us.  Luckily it was just a kitchen towel (she usually wraps her dolls in the kitchen towels).  Here is her first and last (for a long time) dinner creation, or well what's left of it.

Chase

I have been trying to improve my picture taking skills by reading books checking out things on the web etc.  I just really haven't been happy with my photos in general.  I had a cute little nephew born on March 24th and he made a wonderful little test subject.  These pictures were taken when he was 9 days old.
