A Day at the Park

The past two weeks we have really been enjoying the weather. It has been so beautiful and warm you would never guess it was January. I think we even made it up to 69 last week but for the most part we have been hovering in the mid 60’s. We had to take advantage of the weather and head out to the park.

I had to document Emmalyn’s first trip to the park. Even though it was warm for the time of year she was still wrapped in a blanket and had a hat on inside her stroller. Kaitlyn’s favorite thing to do at the park (and at school) is the monkey bars. She did them so often at the beginning of the school year that she had blisters for more than a month. She just wouldn't lay off of the monkey bars and couldn't understand why her hands wouldn't heal, she now has strong calloused hands. Spencer also loves the monkey bars. He is so proud of himself now that he can go all the way across the long one with out falling.

Hannah’s favorite thing to do at the park is the slide. Her favorite one was the tallest twistiest slide at the park. The first picture is her getting off the end of the slide so that you can see really how big the slide is that she loved going down. If you can click on the picture to get a larger view you can see Spencer sitting at the top waiting his turn to go down. The second picture Hannah is in the middle of the slide on her way down (this time Kaitlyn is at the top waiting.)

Family Christmas Pictures

After trying for a few days to get some emails out to you all with picture files that just are not cooperating I decided I will post them here instead (you can click on the individual pictures to view them larger).  These are the family pictures we just got back that were taken mid December.  We had a hard time getting the two big kids to smile naturally but Hannah on the other hand was working the camera and being absolutely adorable that day!

I finally did it……

After setting up the new webcam that our family received for Christmas (Thanks Mom and Dad!) I decided why not actually do a blog for the family since everyone has been asking us to do so.  So here it is.  In a perfect world I would like to say that I will be posting something to this blog once a week, but to keep it realistic I hope to be posting at least once a month.  But as with life there are no guarantees as to what you are going to get.  As to our interesting blog name….with a common name like Brown we had a  hard time coming up with something that wasn't already used.  So Scott got stuck on the Brady Bunch theme of course The Browny Bunch was already taken so we are A Browny Bunch, not to be confused with the little girls in uniforms who sell you cookies!
